Clean COMP, great pose, good detail on extended wings and tail. The head seems soft on my monitor screen, as if the focus was on wing feathers instead of the eye. Also, seems like a bit much canvas on the top. BKGR seems to have a slight bluish cast. Very nice post, Rick!
Neat pose and composition but I do agree about the softness in the head area. A bigger F stop would have helped to bring the head into sharper focus as the wing feathers and tail are sharp with good exposure. Thanks for sharing.
No fair! Keith stole the beginning of my critique. Best to focus on the eyes and use a smaller f/stop when photographing over the shoulder poses like this. The eye could use some work to. Also a huge blue cast. (There have been lots of them today...)
When I enlarged the image there was a ton of artifacting along the edges of the bird. I cleaned most of those up but Rick must be doing something very wrong... Digital Basics is highly recommended. Balanced the color, fixed the eye as best I could with few pixels, and sharpened the head...

Artie's repost looks great. I love the beauty of the male anhinga's plumage which you have shown to advantage in this image. Nice perch and clean bg also. Well done.
