    Default Bonaventure Hillside...

Everyday that I walked down the 1.8 mile hill to the boat on Bonaventure I looked at the lovely hillside with some rocks and lots of wildflowers. On my last day, I grabbed the 24-105 and made a few traditional image that I wound up not liking. I lowered the ISO to 50, chose the highest aperture, and created a few zoom blurs.

Canon 24-105 zoom lens hand held. ISO 50. Evaluative metering: 1/6 second at f/22. Used One-Shot AF and zoomed long to wide.

There is lots more on creating zoom blurs in ABP II.

Don't be shy; all comments welcome.

Sorry, it hurts my eyes. Maybe too much blur?? I love the colors, however.

It's a great zoom blur but I have to agree with Joanna...it's kinda freakin' me out a little bit! I threw my back out this past weekend and it reminds me of how I felt after my first dose of Tylenol 3 & vicodin!

I almost wonder what it would be like in a huge format...if the visual effect would be more stunning or less?

Well, Artie, I know your intentions were good and your creative juices were flowing but this one reminds me of a giant Porcupine.

Hmmmm, Wish you had used less amount of zoom for a more concrete view. Also, cropping the sky, it sort of looks better.

Agree with Fabs suggestions Evaluating these is not easy due to the strong zoom effect.... makes me dizzy !!! :)

Jeez, and to think that I liked this one! Thanks to all for sharing your honest thoughts. (At least it's not a bird image...) Perhaps the effect of dizziness that everyone is seeing is due to my using a shorter focal length zoom than normal (and having to zoom faster...)
