    This is a captive raised male Teita Falcon (very closely related to a peregrine but the size of a kestrel) from central Africa. The bird is being flown for falconry before going into a breeding project to propagate a threatened species. A very, very fast falcon that eats swallows and swifts as he catches them above river valleys. A beautiful subject to photograph.

    Hi Rob,

    Lovely details and sharp. I also like the contrast with the blue sky. I think a horizontal crop would work better but this is very nice as presented.

    You certainly are a master at capturing the flying raptors. The bird has a lot of noise.....I don't know if that was due to the ISO 1250 or if it might have been slightly underexposed. Some NR would really make this one better. Well done.
