A lounging, wild bobcat, about 12 feet up on a dead tree. Thank you for taking a look.

Look at those colors. Very nice and smooth colors. Good sharpness and light... I do think that the leaves on the right side are a bit disturbing but I dont see how to not have them there....

A very cute picture with good quality..

Normally I might be inclined to say a uniform green BG would be better but the blue BG is nicely framed by the branches with the cat tucked in there so nicely and in this great light, all the elements in the image come together nicely. Well done Shawn. I need to come down and photograph with you sometime.

    Hey Shawn,
I think the BG is fine and i do like the palm fronds also. I may be tempted to remove a bit off the right and bottom........to aid the comp a bit more............but very well composed either way.

    Shawn,

Cool pose and the old knurled perch is great. BG doesnt bother me. I agree with Roman on the cropping suggestion.

I like the palm fronds - I agree, maybe taking a LITTLE off the right and bottom - but not into the trunk. The leaves help to create the setting. Maybe the ONLY thing I'd remove are the two poking in on the top right, but to the left of the tree branch, but it's wonderful either way.

It's an amazing photo. The texture of his coat and the tree are just very lush! Where was this shot?

I like how the cat is framed by the branches... Cat is great and the light is real nice. Good color saturation. The bright BG is a bit of a problem. Overall a very good capture of a wild bobcat....

Thank you to all who commented. Amy, the image was taken in Stuart, FL. I spotted the cat after entering a clearing among thick woods. Now that I know where it lives, I hope to stumble across it again. So far, no such luck.

    Hello Shawn,

Wow!!! What a great picture...!!! Usually bobcats are very shy and one can spent an entire life in Quebec's forests without seeing one! Congratulations for having shot this one in the wild with a such lovely manner!!!

Colors are wonderful here and I like the composition as is! The fronds doesn't bother me at all. The eye contact is fantastic!!!

    Great job, Shawn!!!!

    Thanks for sharing!

    Michel
