    This little guy flew into a nearby tree at my approach. It was one of a colony of 6 or 7 birds in Broward County.
    Mark III, 70-200 f/2.8 with 2.0x for effective focal length 400mm.
    ISO 1250, f5.6, 1/800.

    I like eye-contact and light.....perch is nice and natural looking
    I would like to see little more space under the bird
    well done!

    I like the perch, light and BG. The plumage looks a bit odd. How did you sharpen the image?

    very nice! a fantastic background, great perch, and awesome light. Some detail is missing, but overall the image is sweet.

    Hi, Susan. Beautiful portrait of a really cool bird. Tweaking the sharpening somehow as Axel mentioned would probably be good to look into, but the light and composition make it work anyway I think.

    Always nice to see one of these guys on a perch Susan. The crop looks good to me, but just as others have mentioned the feathers look a little funny on my monitor. Thanks for posting!

    Susan, nice to see this bird with a good head turn towards you. As others have mentioned the plumage seems different.
