Hello all, this is a baby burrowing owl that was so curious that he/she came right up to the base of my monopod! He eventually went back to his burrow without ever experiencing the human hand. It was a wonderful experience for me!

Hi Kristin - wow amazing moment.

I like it lot - looks a little soft on my screen - could use a tad more sharpening maybe. No problems with the HAP here and lovely eye contact.
    Well done :)

    Congratulations Kristin,
I like your close up pose. The colors are pleasing...I would recommend a slight sprinkle of selective sharpening on the eyes...good show...looking foward to your next one...

Hi Kristin Love the expression That bird will grow up to be a full character !!! Would only select the eyes and increase saturation, could also go tighter if yo wish !!! Love the image !!!!

Lucky you Kristin to get so close to a baby owl; we had a great time that day! Good suggestions from the above posters. Thanks for sharing!

You gotta be kidding me; in FLA the babies rarely come out of the burrows much less walk up to folks! I like both for their being unique. YOu might wish to lighten the shadows in the bird's right eye.
