This was taken at Fort Desoto and the reddish egret was certainly strutting the beach that day.

    Hi Judy,

I do believe that have met your Reddish Egret! (???) You have about 300mm on my max focal length, though.

You got a great shot of this strutting - he was doing that for me, but from my angle, I had a white line of the beach in the background.

Nice struttin pose you got from him :-) I like the raised foot, and you made sure to give room for the trailing feathers. There are two spots in the BG that I would correct: The one between base of bill and neck, and the other between neck and body.

Wow! A wonderful combination of nice light, great head angle, clean BG a good pose. I love the texture in the neck and the uplifted leg. Congratulations!

Great light, details and striding pose. Maybe a bit more room for the virtual leg?

Lovely image Judy. I can almost imagine him dancing to a Rumba! I hope to see one of these birds someday.

Such a fun image, I am drawn to the position of his foot, perfectly poised above the water. Great work.

Very nicely done, Judy Lynn. The thumbnail just jumps right out of the pack. A really fun pose.
