Joan ............... this is a first ............................ :D:D:D:D First time 60 lashes would be in order :D:D:D :cool: managed three birds looking away !!!! :)

Really like the composition, its so nice seeing the larger picture rather than trying to isolate one bird. I like the careful spacing between the pilings and also the diagonal placement !!! Just needed the birds to cooperate with head angles. Actually about the only way you will get them is with the wind blowing from your rear, normally they like to face the wind !!!!

Tech wise I might give away some shutter speed for dof and would focus in the middle Simple and appealing !!! btw I find these type more difficult that single birds !!!!

Nice comp and good job on the DOF. At least the 3 are all looking away in the same direction at the same time. Would have been great to have them all facing the right direction.

    Good Critque AL!!!

    Hi Joan,
I actually like the image...as presented...Composition wise, it would be ideal, like Mr. Forns stated, to have all three looking your way...

As stated, composition-wise is without a doubt neat and tidy. There seems to be some post-processing problem showing up in the image though as seen on my monitor, some white border around the pilings. A bit more careful pp and this should be a good looking photo.

Good fish but too small in frame, too dark, way too blue, too centered.

Joan, You have a short memory. You originally posted an image here of a Great White Heron by mistake. I opened it a day or two ago but did not get to comment until today. In the meantime, you changed the photo... See the second pane in this thread if you are still foggy on that
