Take a close look at this shot, I don't know the species, this shot was taken in tghe Dominican Republic, this young bird was feeding from the dead fiches that the fishermen throw to the sea, everything looked good until this poor guy got cought in the fishing line of one of the fishermen, good news is that we could catch him and take away the line and the hook. He flew away after the rescue :)

Ramón- This looks like a young Brown Booby, a relative of the gannet. They breed quite commonly amongst the Caribbean islands. 100,000s of seabirds are caught on hooks every year worldwide (most on long-lines set for toothfish or Chilean Seabass. Well to save one from almost certain death.

Ramon, an exceptional image showing the wrong hand of man. I am sure this photo can be used somewhere for this reason. Congrats!

An excellent image that could be used many ways to show the "dark side of the hand of man". Excellent job in rescuing the bird and removing the hook. Usually there is nothing that can be done......sad knowing the fate that awaits the bird. Well done in all accounts with this one.
