    Hi Folks:

Gina captured this Harris's Hawk last year at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum at one of their Rapture Free Flight sessions with her Olymplus C770 UZ digicam. I liked her photo, and after looking at it for a week or so had time on my hands, and started experimenting.First I created a black background the size of her cropped photo, 1200 x 800 px. Opened her Hawk photo on work space, pressed "V" (move), dragged it onto black BG. Keeping Hawk current, I pressed "E" (eraser), with hardness at "0" and lowering the opacity repeatedly as I got closer to the hawk I carefully completed my erasing. With erasing completed I clicked Select>All, then Edit>Stroke, added gray border, then repeated the process and added black border, finishing up with clicking "T" (text icon) and adding sig & title in gray border.

I think it looks better full size & at the moment is on my Desktop which brought it to mind.

Gus, I definitely love what you've done here. It's hard to tell any specifics as the size of the image is small but it appears that you really brought out the best in him by pulling him to a solid, uncluttered BG. Nice work!!!
