Hi - thiis the first of a couple of captive birds - really just to show you some of the harder to find birds.

Not really posting these for a crtique as such, they are really only snapshots.

Shot in the great flight avery at the royal melbourne zoo, viewing angles are extremely limited.

Major Mitchell Cockatoo - had a lot of other shots but nothing showing the fine head feathers.

    Hope you enjoy.

I loved seeing this Major Mitchell too, Lance, and agree that you got a cute pose and a clean one for a zoo setting! These guys have such beautiful crests!

A lovely bird indeed. Love these Cockatoos. I have a 23 year old bear eye that lives at my mom's house. He's a screamer and it was him moving out or the both of us. My wife could not stand it any more. Have never seen one of these.
Your image is very sahep and I like the composition.

    Lance,
Very nice for a "snapshot". By the way, I have 6 captive, and very loved, parrots myself. I think they have so much personality and your shot demonstrates this clearly...at least to me. "hey what are you guys looking at"!! Thanks, Kristin
