    Every time I look at this image I think of burgundy velvet. The plant was so rich and so deeply saturated in this deep, dark color that I could hardly believe it was out in bloom in mid-summer! It reminds me of the autumn to come...

    Oooooh, Jules, I think you nailed it! It's just beautiful! The burgundy is rich, the flower is perfect.... I love it.

    I love the color and texture here, Julie. The flower adds a nice contrast in color and all but otherwise, it doesn't do a whole lot for me. Maybe that's because it is so small compared to the leaves. I don't know for sure that that is it but I think so. That said, burgundy velvet describes it well.

    Hey Jules, this really has some nice rich color. The light has a great mood, and the flower contrasts well with the BG.
