    Hi Jack,
Welcome to the BPN family. I like your image. Several points need to be addressed...You need to run some noise reduction on the background, your subject is a bit too sharpened and the whites are a bit on the hot side; also I would like to see more canvas added to the right side of your frame. You have a good head angle and good eye contact...

Hi Jack - welcome to the BPN family - lots of great folk here.

Agree with Gus's comments - Artie has posted a new thread in the educational resources on linea burn - would be worth having a look at, also head over to the main forum, Linda has a Hummingbird guide coming out very soon - available through Arties website - www.birdsasart.com.

    keep them coming.

    Greetings, Jack

What a tongue! I had no idea - but I guess it makes sense to get into those flowers! Amazing to capture this moment.

It does look like it's a little overprocessed in post processing (?), and the whites could be recovered. The background will be great with some noise reduction.

Thanks for showing us the hummingbird's tongue!!!

    Big Welcome Jack !!!!!!!!!

Great behavior captured !!!! Agree with previous suggestions btw can also try the layer multiplying then reducing opacity to taste. Should help out with the tones !!!
