    Canon 1DIII
    Canon 180 Macro @ 3.5 + 36mm extension

    Late August is Dahlia festival time here in Portland, although the individual flowers are beautiful, it’s the proliferation of all that color in one area that draws me every year.
    I used selective focus and high magnification to create this image inside the camera.

    Welcome, Jim! Call me crazy, but if you flip this image vertically I like it even better. Something about that lower right corner being at the top just draws my eye right through the image.

    Thank you for the warm welcome, comments and suggestions. Jules, I would have never thought of rotating it vertically, I agree vertical is the way to go.
