    Hi Keith,

Love the open beak and BG. The composition is not ideal as the bird is too centered in the frame.

Did you use flash for this image?

    Keep them coming!

Thanks, Maxis. I seemed to have forgotten composition rule #1 - don't center! d'oh!

No flash here, just nice sweet early morning light.

Moved the bird to the left, repost looks better. Thanks again, Maxis.

I have really wanted one of these guys for a long time. Well done getting him to sing and love the simplicity. The repost as far as composition is much better but it doesn't look as sharp......did you sharpen this version?

Oops, you're right, Lana, I forgot to sharpen the repost. Here is the re-repost with USM 125/0.2/0 applied once, gives a little more pop. Thanks. Gee, I guess I could have done these basics before the first post, huh?

Ah....much better. If you did it all before you posted, then I might not be needed anymore:)

    Hi Keith,

Now we are talking :).... Amazing how few clicks can make an image so much better!

Keith thanks for sharing this image of a species that I've never seen. I like the fact that it's singing and the composition of the re-post is much better. Thanks for sharing.

Nice on the reposts. I like the final crop. Would have been better if the bird were looking at you a little bit of CW rotation...
