Photographed on Long Island. I was sitting/lying on the beach and the oystercatchers just did their thing. While the head angle of the juvenile is not ideal, I liked the mood and feeding behavior.
Nice job with the exposure; the blacks and whites both look good to me with the details all remaining. This shows the feeding behavior well and the eye on the adult is quite striking. I might be tempted to give a little more room on the bottom.
beautiful behavior shot. wonderful light and perfect exposure. the colors on the bill and eye of the adult are great. I agree about the head angle of the juvenile but that's only a minor thing. I really like this shot.
Good timing to capture the food exchange but the lack of light on the right side of the large chick's head (and especially the eye) hurts the impact of the image.
