    Along the Yellowstone River the white pelicans drift down stretches hunting fish and then will fly back up river a ways to do all over again.

    what a unique capture. I've always envisioned these as tropical birds.

    Very lovely composition and the snow falling is a definite bonus as well as great timing to catch the two flying together. I too had considered these birds as tropical.

    White pelicans nest inland in the central and Western US up into Canada. There is a large nesting colony on Yellowstone Lake..

    You don't see White Pelicans in snow here in FL :). This is a very nice image.

    Love seeing them in that habitat Just saw lots of them yesterday basking in the Florida sun !!!! Excellent !!!!
