    Note: Image #6 of The Liquid Motion Collection.

    Techs: This composition is an image overlay of two frames captured in RAW and then converted to JEPG. format; shot at four frames per second using a polarizing filter.

    The image was painted with a Nikon D200, using a Nikkor 60mm f/2.8D macro lens with a 20mm extension tube.

    Image solution: focal length @ 60mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / 1/1250sec. - f/18 / ISO @ 320
    white balance @ cloudy / AF - mode @ auto - high speed continuous / metering mode @ in camera matrix metering / lighting solution - no speedlight - used combination of 36" soft box placed from the top at 180 degree angle; two 300 watt strobes powered down to 1/3 lumen burst with diffuser panels placed in front at 45 degree angles, in conjunction with two 22" silver disk reflectors angled from both sides. / exposure comp @ -2.7EV / tone comp @ +3 degrees / hue adjustment @ +3 degrees / saturation factor @ +5 degrees /

    Very nice. Is that a bubble? And then, what do you mean by that this and your other images are from image overlays?

    Gus, this is simply beautiful, I think this is my new favorite of yours. I like the intense colors and swirlling movement.

    i've spent some time thinking about this one. i love the colors and textures in this one. probably my favorite of the series!! and the bubble, if that is what it is, is really cool!!!!! the dark strip underneath bothers me though. almost like i wished the camera was more above and shooting down on the ripple so that the ripple covered all the edges of the frame. or would that take away from the composition? it also seems to need some CW rotation, but as much as i played with it, i couldnt make it better!!!

    just my thoughts. dont shoot me here. i may just be seeing another shot in this one!!

    Wow! this is the best Gus. Love those colors and the "bubble" is incredible.
