    taken about 9:30 this morning and the sun was just starting to get a bit hot and high
    1DMkIIN, 400mm f/5.6L, 1.4x tc, ISO 800, f/8, 1/3200, -.33EV

    The wing shadow is not desirable and highlight appears a bit hot on head, but larger version has full detail.
    Actually the head got nicely lighted I think....thanks for looking and critique

    Great shot, what a difference it makes to see birds actaully doing something or in action. The exposure looks good on my monitor.

    Sharp, and the EXP and whites look fine. Even though the bird is about to land, I think that getting rid of the perch would not look at all unnatural...

    Good exposure and detail in the whites. Very nice flight pose. Thecypress trunk and moss on the water give a great sense of habitat. I think the image will look good with or without the perch.
