    Nice eye detail, with good sharpness overal. BG compliments the bird nicely. I'd add some canvas up top and take a little off the left (might even go with a vertical crop here). Thanks for posting!

    Nice Portrait, Lesley. I have tried a slight crop and agree with Doug about maybe adding some room on top - slight localised eye adjustments with curves and sharpening and a mild contrast boost to the whole image. Colours are lovely and BG complements plumage well. The eye and splash of colour from the beak are nice focal points

    I like the orig post better, love the pose, the lighrt, the detail and color, BG goes great with the bird too! Congratulatuons!

    I like the composition, details, head position and the background. A tight vertical composition would also work.

    Very nice portrait. The clean bg is complimentary. I think the image works as either a horizontal or a vertical. Agree that a bit more canvas on the top is needed in either case. You certainly have some beautiful images on your website!
