    It seems like its been forever since I've been able to get back here! What a lot of great work has been posted! Wow!

    This is from March, 8:20 a.m. at Fort Desoto beach.

    Signma 50 - 500
    1/2500

    500mm

    cropped some from the back and bottom.

    what do you think?

    Welcome back, Cheryl, What a great catch! I like the wingspread, the watersplash and the action. Reddish Egrets are so much fun to watch when fishing/feeding. I might either blur or take some off the top. IAC, I like it very much.

    Really nice Cheryl! Great pose, light, and sharpness. All I would like to see is a bit more eye contact. Congrats and thanks for posting!

    Hi Cheryl nice to have you back !!!!

    Good looking bird in full breeding plumage !!! Would crop out the very top layer I like the pose with the spread wings and good head angle Excellent !!!

    I was thinking about cropping more off the top, but remember somewhere where Artie said that typically you leave a bit more room at the top than the bottom. I took out a lot of the color in the top, but I agree that it is still distracting.

    Al, what distinguishes it as in full breeding plumage?

    Fabulous photo, think it would go beyond fabulous with the top layer to match the sky.

    However, I love it as is and congratulate you.
