Like the overall color palette here, as well as the OOF BG. Wish there were a bit more life in the bird's eye. Also, I would move the bird left in the frame. Thanks for posting!

Lovely color and texture in both the rock and the bg. There is a painterly feel to the image. The dove is too centered in the frame, and I think a bit of fill flash would have helped . Thanks for posting this lovely species of dove.

I like the matching perch, BG, and dove...all the same colour theme :-) I see a faint catchlight that should be selectively brightened to give more life to the eye (as Doug pointed out). Also agree about composition.

I'll swim against the tide here as I like the unorthodox COMP; it works for me because of the shape of the rock. And of course, the colors are lovely. Do agree on the need for some eye work.

I would try to decenter it for sure I mean, the rock is nice but, to me, not enough to leave the shot as is :), just more room to the right and it would be an even better shot than what it already is! Congratulations! BG, pose, eye contact, details, and that over cast sky light are just awesome!
