    This image was made right after the loon surfaced giving me those nice drops on his head. All comments welcome.

    Hi Joel,
    Nice closeup on the head. I like the colors, the droplets on the head and the eye. Looks like the image could use a little contrast boost on my monitor.

    Great sharpness and the water droplets look good! I would boost contrast significantly and decrease brightness some. Thanks for posting!

    Great angle, eye contact and details. Another vote for more contrast.

    Agree. The head esp. needs to be blacker. And this may sound odd, but the image looks as if it has a greenish cast... Well framed with a perfect head angle. The eye could use some work.

    Could not resist: I color balanced the image, added lots of black to the neutrals and blacks, did some work on the eye, and toned down the bill highlights...

    Color balance was the first thing that came to my mind !!! Like the re post very much

    I like the exposure giving you good detail in the dark feathers while holding the bright areas Difficult bird to expose !!!
