Excellent action shot! The reflection is a big plus and the red beak focuses attention on your subject. Nicely done.

    Hi Monte!
It's good to see your work around here!
I like this image very much and I would like it even more if you could use a bit more of sharpness here, I also suggest to increase the saturation a bit. Great job overall.

    Cheers.

Love the pose and the COMP and the sharpness. Would love to see a re-post with 2-3 points of black added to the blacks and the neutrals in Selective Color to give it more pop.

Definitely my favorites of your skimmer shots. The softness/colors of the reflection makes the image for me - it really makes it stand out from other skimmers in action. Here's my take on it (similar to Artie's comments). There's some cloning on the left side just below the water line that should be cleaned up before you print it.

Great light, pose and reflection. I like Artie's idea regarding the blacks. My first was some contrast boost.

Nice skimming pose and lovely reflection. I like the soft light and the small wake behind the bill. Artie's suggestions for selective color adjustments will make this nice image even better.

I tried as Artie suggested and it looks just like Leroy's, so I played with curves a bit and raised blacks a little more. Maybe too much, not sure..

Both re-posts are a big improvement. Big time thanks to Monte and Leroy for their efforts and for their membership support.

Fantastic skimmer image due to the super reflection. I like either repost better than the original. The second repost has a bit more black detail. I still think just a tad more sharpening would do well here.

One of the best images I have seen of a skimmer - the reflection and posture puts it in a class of its own.

I agree with all of the above including that it's one of the best images of a Skimmer I've ever seen, beautiful BG. Very well done, thanks for sharing it.
