A previous Nikon shooter gave me this piece of equipment and said that I could use it with my 105 macro lens. Can someone tell me more about it, perhaps how it will benefit me or not???? Hey it was free so I will try it out thats for sure!!!! I'm anxious to see what it will do for me:)
It's a nice piece of equipment. The best thing about it is that it has a tripod collar and you can add an inexpensive QR plate if you want (RRS B-5 recommended). This allows you to rotate from horizontal to vertical without losing focus. It will couple to your meter but it will not autofocus, the same as all other Nikon extension tubes. It's a lot of extension for a 105mm macro but it works well.
