    Attached Images Attached Images

Unidentified butterfly in a butterfly house. Canon Mark II N, 100-400 lens hand-held at 400 mm, fill flash, ASA 400, 1/200 sec at f/11.

    All suggestions welcomed!

Nice job on the butterfly, Mike!!! (I tried looking it up in my book and couldn't ID it.) For my taste, he's sitting a little low in the frame - the flowers take up more space than the butterfly does - and that tends to make my eye focus on the flowers instead of the butterfly. I also see a bit of noise in the background. You might want to run a bit of noise reduction.

Can also add that I like the framing of the flower having all of it in frame without cutting !!! Excellent !!!

Nice, but moving to your left to better parallel the subject would have made it better.

Hey Mike, I think the comp works well, and good details on the B-fly.
