This is from the same series of bears that I had posted earlier.
Canon 40D, Canon 400mm f2.8 L IS, ISO 800, f2.8, 1/500, +1/3 EV. Normaly, I would use a lower ISO, but on this occassion, the bears were moving a lot and I was having issues with sharpness. So I useISO 800, even though I hate that ISO. Full frame.

Reason: typo
Nice and sharp on the head and eyes Sabyasachi. I like you got this in the rain. Good details in the fur. Good inquisitive look on the bear. I suggest crop some from the left to move the bear out of the center of the image. Nice work.
Agree with Robert on all points. The bear is very nicely detailed and the rain makes it even better. Crop some off the left and it will really strengthen his position in the frame. Nicely done!
Thanks for your comments. Though there is equal space between the left and the right side, I was taking care not to place the face in the centre of the frame. Its left foreleg is virtually bordering the ROT line. I would appreciate if someone can post a creative crop. I would love to improve upon my pictures.
I really like the subject here. Nice color saturation and this type of light is perfect for black bears.. I might have tried to avoid the light BG rock by moving my position slightly but I wasn't there so no sure if that would have been an option. After 25 years of wildlife photography the first thing I look at when preparing to take an image is my BG.
Hi Robert,
I was in a hide and the bear was on a hillock. So I couldn't move. The wet rock reflected the light and made it difficult. In the previous day, light level was good, but the drama due to rain was not there. I have started shooting large animals in rain since last year. There has been some learnings. But long way to go.
Thanks for comments.
