Saw Arsdel's dickcissel a while ago in another thread and recalled I had some waiting to be processed from May.
This was early morning just after sunrise about 7:30....the bg is a moving wheat field
    ISO 800, 1/250, f/9, +.67EV400mm w/1.4x......heavy crop, only about 15-20% of frame

    thanks you for looking/critique

I like it Dave! The bird looks good against the BG. Pose and sharpness are excellent. I think it could use a contrast boost. What do you think of this?

Stunning. The BKGR is amazing as is the image quality in view of the huge crop. EXP, pose, contrast all perfect.

I like yours better. I applied contrast globally in the name of speed. Well done Mr. Old Diabetic Eyes! ;)

Oh my goodness. This is beautiful. I liked the original post. I'm trying to decide what the greater contrast adds (yes, I know - contrast...) :) In the original, all of the gradations of color, and the fineness of the detail are there. It also looks sharp to me. So, personally, I prefer the original post.

The repost makes this great image even better. Great singing pose, light, details and BG.
