    Default White-rumped Sandpiper

One of several 'new to me' shorebirds that I managed to photograph during my visit to Churchill, Manitoba. We do get a few turn up in the UK each year, blown off course during migration.

Wow, what an elegant wing stretch pose of a breeding plumage adult. I was there one year in early June and there was 3 feet of snow. Exactly where was this bird photographed? Sharpness, EXP, light, and mood all wonderful. The dead leaf bugs me. All in all, a great image.

I like the pose and sharpness and exposure look good, just not sure I like the stuff in the water, I think it looks interesting but then, I do keep looking at it rather than the bird.

Very Nice Melvin. I saw one for first time a couple of years ago here in Northern Ireland but could not get close enough to photograph.

Photographed just off beach, immediately below 'Miss Piggy', Artie. The dead leaf was a stone and a bit of seaweed, I accept your point but, possibly as I know what it was, and I have already removed some some, it doesn't bother me and I accept it as part of the composition - where do you stop? I will be posting another soon - same bird, beating **** out of a Semi-p Sandpiper!

Is Miss Piggy that crashed plane??? Never saw much there...

As for where you stop, that is up to you. All that I said was that it bugged me a bit. :)
