One of my favorite waders, the Black-tailed Godwit, photographed in the Neusiedler See Nationalpark in Austria.

PS work: small increase in brightness and saturation. 2x Filter-Sharpen-Sharpen at a size of 1300 at the longest side. Then some noise reduction, then down to 800 pixel and some smart sharpen. I am still learning the best way to sharpen in CS3. All comments welcome.
Should I crop a little?
It's sad to know that this amazing species is declining in many parts of Europa.

The sharpening looks fine to me. The bird is a bit bedraggled. A crop from the left (to eliminate the yellow stalk on the frame-edge) and a crop from the top would tighten things up.

Hello Markus,
Sharpening of the bird looks good. The grass at his feet does look a little oversharpened in comparison with the surrounding grass. I might run a bit of blur/NR to smooth out the BG a bit but that's just a personal preference. The bird does look a little worn but is still a handsome looking fellow that goes really well with the BG textures and colors.
