    Sweet shot, Jody! The two tone bg is ok, but I think I would prefer all red or all blue. It seems slightly washed out as well, perhaps a bit more contrast, or maybe that's the way they look in the stark light of cold northern winters.

    It's the middle of summer and I'm still envious of your winter owls Jody! On this photo, I have to agree with Jim. I think the bird could stand a bit more contrast. And the two tone BG with such vivid colors draws my eye away from an otherwise excellent owl photo.

    Great eye contact, and nice and sharp. Personally, I like the background. It is a bit distracting from the bird, but I think it adds to the image as an overall work of art.

    Quite lovely as noted above. The near-50-50 BKGR is less than ideal but I still wish that it were mine...
