Very nice Greg! The bird looks great against that green BG. Nice sharpness and eye contact too. Remember that you can post at 800 pixels on the long side. Well done!

This is fantastic. wonderful light and colors. perfect BG and sharpness. The only thing I find a little distracting are the pale reflections at the bottom.

Very well done, Greg. I really like the background, and the image is well composed and exposed. Great perspective, and sharp too. My kind of image.

Very nice! The green looks great. I don't mind the pale reflections, but I would probably eliminate the few isolated ones just above the mud.

Pretty darned beautiful. Can anyone age this bird? (That is, identify its plumage?)

Greg, was this at the East Pond at JBWR?

I would say adult, worn breeding plumage. Looks like this guy is about ready to molt.

That is a killer image. The green background rocks here. Details and colors are beautiful.

This should be in the running for I.O.W. Very nice colors and the whites are absolutely perfect!

Thanks Greg. I have seen images from there before, some great ones, but never with the green BKGR. Way to go.

Oh yeah, this one is really good. the smooth green BG is a delicacy and the blue sand is the ice on the cake for the BG. The low angle is perfect and the pose of the bird is... well, he is acting in the way a professional model will do:D
I am tempted to suggest some additional work on the eye to add more light and life to the bird´s expression but not sure. Really good image
