    Note: Image #3 of The Liquid Motion Collection.

    Techs: This composition is an image overlay of two frames captured in RAW and then converted to JEPG. format; shot at four frames per second using a polarizing filter.

    The image was painted with a Nikon D200, using a Nikkor 105mm f/2.8D macro lens with a 12mm extension tube.

    Image solution: focal length @ 105mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / 1/60sec. - f/14 / ISO @ 200 /
    white balance @ cloudy / AF - mode @ auto-hight speed continuous / metering mode @ in camera matrix metering / lighting solution - used one speedlight with an attached diffuser; bounced off of an overhead mirror; powered down to 1/3 lumen burst on manual mode; in conjunction with a 36" soft box placed from the top at 180 degree angle; and two 22" silver disk reflectors angled from both sides. / exposure comp @ -2.7EV /
    tone comp @ +3 degrees / hue adjustment @ +3 degrees / saturation factor @ +4 degrees / support platform - tripod assist / the illusion of outer space was created by a black backdrop, sprayed with a suspension mixture of glycerin and tap water. /

    Hi Gus,

    Wow this is wonderfully different!!!I Initially I thought I liked the sharp, clear drops better in #s 1&2, but am liking the way the color and highlights play in the drops in this image - also love the reflections at the bottom.. Creamy blue in center is nice too. Like the black bg - don't know about the oof lens reflections. Sweet image, Gus:D:D

    Gus, my friend, another beauty...I love the fluidity and yet at the same time the way that the drops seem to be suspended in time. I also love the creamy blue. Very nicely done!

    The drops are way cool Gus !!! What a series !!!

    About the only thing I would change is the light bg and oof highlights !!! Should put all of these together !!!

    Love it, Gus!! Now tell me (maybe I missed your explanation somewhere): why the use of more than one frame, overlaid, to get your final results?

    This is my favorite of the series, Gus! Beautiful, fluid colors...remarkable!
