I photographed this eagle not far from my home hunting rabbits in a rocky area.. Here I choose to show more habitat.

Very cool setting and eye contact. I'm wondering whether a higher point of view would have been even better but certainly like it as is.

Wow this is gorgeous Robert. Love the composition and the majestic pose of the golden eagle. They are so beautiful and this setting really shows him off. I have only seen one and that was in Bosque but no images. Love this and thanks for sharing.

Like it as is Robert! I'm going to steal Judy's adjective, because majestic is what comes to mind when I look at that eagle.

Wow, this is nice Robert. What a wonderful habitat you managed to capture the eagle in...it looks quite at home on that perch. Majestic is the perfect adjective...especially that in french this species is called "Aigle Royale"...

wonderful shot of this amazing bird. I like the habitat shown and the composition with the bird on the left and it looking to the right.

did you use a hide? or from a car?

Excellent image Dr., majestic indeed! I am sure a higher pov would have helps this shot, but I am guessing you didn't have a step ladder in your trunk! Very well done.

    Hi Robert,
I like this one. The thing that stands out to me is how the lines in the three rocks loosely mimic the head/beak angle and direction of the body/feathers.
