    Greetings all

This is a great website- a real learning and sharing forum.

I sent my first post to "Eager to Learn"

    http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=17932

and got some super feedback. Then I saw Gus Hallgren's post on "pencil sketch" with instructions:

    http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=17771

    (Thanks again, Gus.:):))

Tried it with my loon, but it looked a bit washed out (;)) so I deleted the second duplicate layer. This added some color back. Tweaked the color with hue/saturation- still wasn't quite happy, so used some paint brushes to color the water and loon a bit more. (All in Photoshop). (I'm actualy a watercolorist, mostly...). Not sure I like the results, but it was a great exercise.

    Thanks for looking.

    Cindy

Wow! What a fun technique...I'll have to give it a try! I like this overall except for the breast of the bird. It's so much whiter than the rest of him - any way to even it out a bit more?

You can tell you do watercolor...this totally gives you away! :D
