Default Motif: High Key Bald Eagles

Homer, AK - 1D2, 500mm, hand held, 1/1600, F4, Manual exposure (EV on snow in same light +2)

This is my first image post in this forum. I thought this would be a good example for this week's assignment.

A 36x24 version of this image is currently on display at the American Museum of Natural History in Central Park, NYC. It is part of an exhibit containing BIF images from 4 photographers including myself. The exhibit will run thru 5/25/2009. More infor may be found here: http://www.amnh.org/exhibitions/photo/feathered/

Marvelous image Jim. Aren't you the one who always hand-holds the 500MM??

    Cheers,

Just beautiful. I may be forced to stop by the exhibit when I'm attending the photoplus expo in NYC in October. I need to see this in person. Regards

Yep that's me. I would say almost always. I do own a Gitzo tripod, a Wimberly head, a Feisol CF monopod, and a small Giottos ballhead. I don't use them very often, but if I need to for an image I want I will use them.
