    Default Cormorant In Flight

These birds are numerous here in the Florida area and they have always been a challenge for me to catch them flight and get any kind of detail in the blacks and head. Finally last week I was able to capture one that I felt was a keeper. They are quite beautiful when the sun hits them just right. Hope you enjoy.

They sure are beautiful Judy! I'd probably give this one another round of sharpening. Nice job!

Very nice Judy. It may be my monitor but there looks like you have a dust spot just under and slightly ahead of the bill and another beneath the tail and behind the wing.

Nice one Judy of a bird that I have never successfully photographed :)

PS I am not keen on over sharpened images and think this one looks fine :)

cool shot Judy Lynn.. some very nice light on this bird, really helps with those dark feathers.

I'd hate to count how many shots of cormorants flying I've tried (unsuccessfully) to get. This one is pretty good. The black feathers are always a challenge. Well captured.

beautiful shot of this species. the warm light is awesome. I also like the wing pose and the composition.

I would add a little more sharpening. It looks a little soft on my monitor.
