    The light was in and out the other night at Nickerson. This was shot with the sun behind a cloud which made for a flat,monotone image. Decided to de-saturate it and crop to vertical to try and save it???
    Interested in any opinions.
    320 ISO f5.6 at 1/2000th

    Got to love the layout position Joe !!!!

    Good idea with the conversion and does work well Might only increase contrast a bit? Did you try one partially desaturated with just some color in the bird Excellent !!!!!

    It looks pretty good as a monotone even on my cruddy work monitor.... :)

    For me, I think it's sitting to low in the frame and if it were me, I'd raise it...not by cropping from the top however as it would then appear to cramped,.

    Stunning flight pose Joe and I love the fanned tail and your choice to make it black and white. This choice really shows off the excellent detail. Well done and thanks for sharing.

    This is a very unique image Joe, I would have believed you if you had said you have drawn this with a pencil! Very arty, definitely a keeper.
