    Default Elegant Tern

Probably my favorite tern photo from my California trip. This one struck the perfect pose for me, and even took the time to look right at me.

Killer pose Doug Can't think of a better one !!!! Not sure if you could lighten the eye area then darken the pupil to make it visible but love it as presented !!! Big Congrats !!!!

a fantastic shot in every way. I love the spread tail and the bird locking at the photographer. Great sharpness of the whole bird.

    Hi Doug....

Super tail spead and wing pose and a neat head turn.

This is one of those that would have been equally as good if the head were turned a hair less so that the ey was more visible, yet it's nice on this pose as well.

There are some whites that look a bit hot in front of the tail and on the neck, but it could be the monitor which I'm on....I'll look again this evening at home.

This is quite wonderful, Doug. I find these birds very difficult to expose just right and to catch the light direction so that there are no shadows. Good job.

Very nice, Doug! I like the wing position. I wish the eye was a little more visible.

Excelent pose Dough and superb handholding technique. It seems to me that the image needs more sharpening because lacks some details. Fantastic exposure BTW
