    Hi folks:

Gina took a trip to Kenya, Africa with her sister & Olympus C700 UZ digicam a few years ago and came back with a bunch of photos that are still getting hundreds of hits on our website every week. I took a couple of them, a scene of the Savannah, an always hungry Cheeta, and put this montage together. It was a fun project, and had nothing else to do at 3 AM between Olympic events I was interested.in. uncle Gus :D

    All C&C's always welcome.

Looking good Gus !!!! I like the composite Can play around with different size/opacity for different effects Do like the base image very much, clouds are fantastic !!!! Also like the separation between the front row wildebeest and the zebras. Excellent

Hi Al: Thanks for the kind words. After looking at it again, I think I should have turned off the Cheeta layer and cloned grass over the animals directly underneath him, as with the very low opacity I think his image would be improved where there are animals underneath him? Best regards . . . . . Gus

    Hi Gus

Jumping right in here...this is really neat-the 2nd version works better. Nice mood scene. I haven't really tried a collage- this is inspiring.

hi uncle gus!! there is one major glitch here. while i love your digital creation, the base image needs a lot of CCW rotation. it really catches my eye and just kills it for me. fix that and you've got yourself another killer image!!!!

I like this version the best, Uncle gus!! The increased saturation in the foreground really makes the image pop. Cheeta looks more like he belongs there!!! Do the Zebra butts crack anyone else up, or is it just me??:D

    Cheers, Bruce

    Hi -

While the colors of the saturated version are pleasing, the zebra rumps are rather out-standing...if you see what I mean. :) Maybe something half-way between? Or darken the zebras a bit?

They're all nice- just a matter of personal preference, I think.

    Hi Folks:

For the final finishing touch before I retire from Composites . . .

Here's an oil painting of "Savannah" with Cheetah . .

    Keep smiling

    Uncle Gus :D
