Another multiple frames in one, possible with the Nikon D3 and other models. This one was 10 frames and the camera calculates the expousre compensation needed for the number of frames you use, Cool feature.

    D3 and Sigma 150 macro.

    I couldn't resist putting a frame on it :)

Way coooool. Looks like a painting, from a master. I wish the Canons had this feature.

This could make me go out and buy a Nikon body but all my lenses would still be Canons! Since I first discovered that the Nikons could do this, I have been trying to figure out how one could do this in post-processing. I'm thinking of stacking layers of the same image with a slight, very slight, offset on each layer, using Screen mode for each layer. But I'm not certain that you could get a decent exposure in the end. Any other thoughts out there?

Sandra, using Tv with a slow shutter speed like 1/8 and shaking the camera slightly, could give you a similar look. Try different speeds until you find one that works for you.

I'm told that kicking your tripod (gently, I presume...) can yield pleasing results...
    BTW beautiful picture Fabs!

I've been using the slow shutter speed technique for years -- the effect is actually quite different from stacking multiple exposures. I'll just keep futzing with the postprocessing techniques and see if I can came up with something that works.

Gee maybe I should toss my watercolors and get a Nikon!! :D Beautiful Impressionism....I'm sure there's considerable skill involved here as well as a clever camera. ;) Anyway, very enjoyable. Looking forward to more.
