Never tire of the wonder. Just a very short time ago this was an egg in a sand nest on the beach. Now it is a juvi skimmer just learning how to fly.
From this evenings NWPLI outing/workshop. Great turn out and a beautiful evening at Nickerson , except for the strong winds. Hope all who attended learned something. Thanks to Grace,Jimmy ,Ted and Len(yes Len showed up!!!!!!) ,for the help.

Nice eye contact, fanned tail, and near wing position Joe! I wish the bill didn't merge with the far wing though. Like the BG too. Thanks for posting!

Stunning BG and I love the action captured in this flight image. I agree it would have been great to have had a little separation of the beak from the wing but in this particular case I am not too bothered by this as I think it is an outstanding capture. Love it. Thanks for sharing Joe.

Lovely image Joe, I especially like the underwing detail :) the beak blending with the wing is a small problem for me.
