    One day in February.
    I had forgotten about this picture, Sometimes it is good to look at past work.

    The harsh light was a tough one to handle here. Some of the whites are blown. The angle of the sun here would make it almost impossible for a natural catchlight. I really like the view of the underwing patterns of this young Ring-billed Gull.

    It is indeed good to browse back in the files sometimes...nice surprises often pop up :-)

    Like the underwing detail Layton! Whites up top are definitely toasty. I'd probably move the bird up a little or down a little in the frame. Thanks for posting!

    Love the sky and detail under the wings, Layton. Looks a bit "crunchy" to me - not sure if it is the backlighting or maybe a bit oversharpened. Gulls are great.
