Well, I wasn't sure where to post this one.

Wildlife? Macro? I was shooting the heliconias in the back yard (didn't get anything worth posting), and I saw this little guy on the fence, so I decided to take his portrait. The blurred heliconias made for an interesting background. I selectively cleaned up the white fence post in PS (dust and scratches), sharpened the lizard, and reduced noise in the BG....

Thanks for your comments and suggestions!

Just for fun, I'm re-posting this after exporting it as sRGB. I am using a Mac, and the Safari browser, so I think that I do not see a difference between Adobe RGB, and sRGB. But a post on another forum reminded me that perhaps folks using IE see something different. Is there a difference in the two?

    Thanks.

Of course it's wildlife, like the re post better. I see more contrast on this one.

Amy there are very close but the re post does have more contras in my monitor also

That lizard would look great with a better perch The light color is not doing well with the great bg Crop wise they are tough to frame but clipping the rear leg is not good ... might get you ........ :D

Oscar... what do you mean this is wildlife :)

Had to edit .... Harold is going with wildlife also :o ... they must have some personal knowledge on that little guy

Well, I think Harold's lizard is wildlife. Mine's a lizard on my backyard fence.... ;)

I kind of liked the connection of his coming into the background from the angle he was perched. I thought about doing something completely "different" to replace the white fence post in PS, but changed my mind.

    Thanks for the comments.

Hi Amy, another vote for wildlife - I see more contrast too. I must admit I'm not overly keen on the white post.

Hi Amy, both look the same to me, I assume that is because I am using Firefox 3 with Colour Management turned on just like your Safari web browser. I think people with Internet Explorer will see a difference because I do not think that is 'Colour Aware' and just displays everything in sRGB.
