I like it a lot Steve Sure captures the mood !!! I'm sure he is not any happier with the weather !!!

The bird and bg look great I"m a little concern with the tree trunk since it is so prominent !!! Particularly like the feather detail and color !!!

I echo Alfred's comment and was thinking that before reading it. Sweet moment, very moody and the bird really stands out from the BG.

I really like the mood here. Agree about the tree trunk...and also wish the raindrops were a little more prominent.

a classic GBH image, the tree dosen't bother me at all, the bird has tons of character, and the processing is very cool., well done.

I really like this, Steve. Great mood. I like the curve of the tree echoing the curve of the bird. I have played a bit with burning the corners and left side to focus more on the bird and maybe address the issue raised by Al - what do you think?

Love this image and the mood it conveys . Really well done Steve and I agree that the curve of the tree with the curves of the GBH make a wonderful combination. Thansk for sharing.

Thank you all for the comments. I liked the curve of the vertical trunk and intentionally included it in this comp because of the way it matched the curve of the bird. I didn't like the bright bottom portion though and would probably make an effort to remove it if I chose to print this one out.
    Tony,
I like what you did with the burning. It reduces the impact of the white trunk and adds to the dark mood of the image. Thanks for the idea.
