Very cliché shot, but I loved the wide open wings and golden light. I'd love to know what you think. I pushed the ISO a bit to get good shutter speed. I've found with the MK3 that correctly exposed images at high ISO still yields very little noise.

Maybe Clife but what a beautiful image !!! Got to love the full wingspread !!!!

Would love seeing a little detail in the white leg feathers Not sure if duplicating and multiplying would help some? Glad you went for the higher shutter speed since the Mk3 is a good performer, might as well take full advantage !!! Big Congrats !!!

Impressive wingspan, you caught it a the perfect moment. Colors in the background are a great setup for the bird, congratulations!

The curved primaries are over the top!! I wish the darker area in LLC was not there, but not too bad. I'd also remove the small dark spot touching the top of the bird's wing. Very impressive work ! :-)

Excellent quality of light you guys had there that day Isak! Works very well for me and I really like the action caught here, spread out wings and the OOF background.

Very nice here Isak. Must say that I agree with Daniel on the lower left dark area. Love the soft colours and your exposure was spot on. ISO 1600 is incredible ... need to get myself one of those !!

BTW: Congrats on all your awards at this years Fuji Film awards ... espicially like the oxpecker !

    Cheers

The curved primaries adds a lot of action to the image and the lowered neck of the bird, the rised feet ready to land are fantastic. One of the best images that I have seen from the Castle
