    Default Blue-Crowned Motmot

It's not easy to get clean looks at Motmots, but this one was anything but camera shy. He let us get extremely close and would move from perch to perch. When he landed on this one, I got a number of good frames. Taken on my Costa Rica trip this past year.

Beautiful bird and well-captured. I like the soft light and details and only wish for a bit more head turn.

    Hi Doug,
Head turn mentioned but a nice look at this guy regardless. BG is very nice and good job with the flash.

Stunning Doug and they are difficult to get out in the open with such an opportunity to get such a clear image. Beautifully captured with wonderful pose and eye contact. I got a few of these while in Panama but nothing as lovely as this.

Looks good, Doug. I agree with Axel that a slight head turn would have helped a bit, but it's still a fine image of this motmot.

    Cheers,
    Greg
