I made this image last spring - spiffed up the bg a little with the clone tool and gausian blurr.sharpened the eye a bit.

You did really well in both PS and making he image Burce PS wise would onluy clone the bright areas around the eye The white area seems to have detail and you were able to control the exposure. Very good placement in frame I like it a lot !!!

Maybe you don't get the in-camera crop right but you sure do get your bird and BG color coordinated,loverly!

I like it as presented, you have good head angle and eye contact. I like the placement of the subject in frame, and the pleasing background color...:cool:
