    Default Monitor

I have a;) 20 inch Trinitron CRT Monitor that has served me well, but it is now 8 years old and doesn't calibrate properly anymore.
I need a replacement. What can you recommend as a practical, but color accurate replacement.

    Thanks for help.

Obliviously it all depends on budget, but Apple Cinema LCDs seem to be loved by most users and can be used on PC's or Macs.

    Default Lacie

I have a Lacie 321 which I bought refurbished. NEC makes the same monitor, but I don't know its model #. These are very nice.

    Thanks everyone!
Roger, I have reviewed your extremely informative material on your site. Many thanks,
Because of cost constraints, I have found S-IPS LCD by Dell, it is 20 inch display model # 2007 FP
    for $389. Any thoughts

Here is the best link out there . . . http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/guides.htm

It will tell you everything you need to know to make a decision. Turns out that not all panels are created equal even within the same manufacturer. And that there are really only about 3 different manufacturers out there . . . some of the Apples and some of the Dells are really the exact same monitor when you look under the hood. I ended up with a Dell 2007 and have been really happy so far. I'll probably also purchase a Dell 2407.

    Thanks, Sandra
I checked out your reference source and the review of the 2007 was reassuring.
