This sunset was taken just a few yards from my cottage at Estero Beach. The sunset was painted with a Nikon D200, using a Nikkor 18-200mm VR f/3.5 - f/5.6G.

    Image solution: focal length @ 200mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / in camera matrix metering / ISO @ 400 / 1/20sec. - f/14 / white balance @ auto / AF - mode @ single frame auto / color space @ sRGB /
lighting solution - no speedlight, ambiant light / exposure comp @ +1.3EV / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degrees / saturation factor @ 0 degrees / support platform - no tripod, hand held, braced on top of wooden railing from the boardwalk leading to the beach. /

Very pleasing image Gus!! I like the way the grasses play in the foreground and the green water is nice too.:)

Hi Gus - looks like a beautiful spot for a holiday. I like this shot but just feel it is missing something that I just cant put my finger on.

Maybe its because your other images are just so stunning ;)

    Hi Gus,

Yes, isn't this just one of the best parts of Florida?

I played with the levels on your photo a little - let the blacks go black, and brought down the mid-tones. I hope you don't mind.

This is what I came up with - it's a little more subtle, but I think you can still see the green of the water.... I thought this gave it a little more drama....

Although I like Amy's depth in the sky I really like the visual of your water better in the original post. Perhaps a selective toning of the sky would be the best of both worlds? It's certainly beautiful as presented but a little depth in the sky might add even more interest.

Very appealing shot Gus.I kind of like both, your original and Amy's repost. They both have a different feeling to them.
